Real won the Madrid derby 4-1 against Atletico on Saturday, and then Barca lost further ground to their arch rivals by being held at Getafe.

After travelling to struggling Sporting Gijon this weekend, the first La Liga clasico of the season is being played a week on Saturday at the Bernabeu when Jose Mourinho's side could further stamp their authority on the top of the table.

Barcelona will play twice before that trip to Madrid, with home games against Rayo Vallecano and surprise package Levante. Barca play an extra game to cover the weekend when they will be at the Club World Cup.

"There's still a long way to go, we don't think we have already won La Liga," Ronaldo told AS. "We want to win everything.

"This may be the best Madrid team since I arrived at the club, but we are going to have to win things to confirm it."

Real were one of the first sides through to the Champions League knockout stages, but Ronaldo admits it is a tough ask to lift the trophy. He said: "Real are always favourites to win the trophy, but we also know that it is very hard to do it, but I think it is possible for us to win it."
