Arbeloa not thinking about Barca - ESPN
Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa insists that his side are not thinking about the form of their title rivals Barcelona and can only focus on their own performances.

Madrid are three points ahead of Barcelona at the top of La Liga and have a game in hand, while the Catalans face the distraction of the Club World Cup in December. Jose Mourinho's men play their next match away at Sporting Gijon on December 3 and Arbeloa is focused on the task at hand, rather than an upcoming El Clasico the following weekend.
"I am not thinking about what Barcelona do. I don't have time for them. I have plenty to think of at Madrid. We should not look at Barcelona, Valencia or any other team," he told AS.
"The season is still long. We have to be patient, because there are many more games to be played. We have not won La Liga yet and still have a long way to go. It's not important how many points we're ahead right now."
Meanwhile, midfielder Sami Khedira believes the team still have room for improvement and that competition for places in the squad is a good thing.
"Regardless of whether it is Mourinho's second year [at the club] every team is better in their second season together,'' he told German website Spox. "When a new coach arrives, with a new system of play, what is needed, above all, is time.
"Now we are much more finely tuned but still as hungry. Besides, we are more than a team and that helps us enormously. We want to win more trophies than last season.
"At Real Madrid there is always great competition to play. That applies to every position and is normal at a club like this. In the defensive midfield position there are four or five world class players. That's how it was last season and nothing will change in the future.
"The only thing you can do is to give everything in every game, and I think that is something that up to now I have done well."
