Johan Cruyff: Barcelona are involved in all the titles – La Liga News

Former FC Barcelona player and coach, Johan Cruyff, has called for calm and tranquillity at Camp Nou, asking La Blaugrana fans to remember that they still have not lost a title. On the contrary they are still up and running in all competitions, he added.

Real Madrid have opened a six-point gap at the top of La Liga standings which has caused quite a stir in Catalunya. Los Blancos won against Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby, while Barcelona lost at the hands of Getafe in coliseum Alfonzo Perez in the recently concluded Spanish top flight fixtures.

The current catalunya coach stated that they are in the running of all the competitions and did not understand why there were so many cries about the gap.

"There are the four titles in the process, we have not lost any. I do not understand why obsession" he said. The former Dutch international was talking to the media following the presentation of the match between Catalonia and Tunisia on December 30, at the Olympic Stadium Lluís Companys in Barcelona.

In this regard, he recalled pessimistic mentality of Les Cules and said that he did not understand where they were coming from.

"It's almost a sin, but it's the mentality here, the 'ay, ay, ay what happens' and everybody cries already. You have to keep playing, the team has the quality and possibilities. The most important thing is trust," Cruyff stated.

The creator of Barcelona's Dream Team did not like how every issue regarding the club is exaggerated and the people do not appreciate the quality of individuals in the squad.

He said that losing a game does not mean that the team is bad or underperforming. In his point of view, Cules will have to understand the dimensions of the modern game and change their mentality accordingly.

"Everything is exaggerated; it seems that most people do not know what the quality of the club. By losing a game is not a bad thing."

"You do not have to think so because it's better to go home then."

"Our mentality has to go on until the end ", commented.

Cruyff also highlighted the fact that championships are not won in December but in May, and everyone will have to trust in the abilities of Pep Guardiola's men.
