66th Santosh Trophy: Manipur name final squad

The All Manipur Football Association has named their final 20 players squad for the 66th edition of the National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy which will be played from May 11 to 27 across Orissa. The AMFA had invited 33 players in total to the trials in the state capital Imphal.

The AMFA has appointed Kh. Surmani Singh, an AFC 'B' licence holder as coach of the Manipur state team, who has picked many players with experience in the I-League and 2nd Division which should be useful for Manipur in the tournament.

Manipur have been drawn in the quarterfinal league Group B along with Goa plus the winners of Cluster III and Cluster V playing their matches on May 19 (vs Cluster III), May 21 (vs Cluster V) and May 23 (vs Goa).
