Official: Gerard Houllier Appointed New Aston Villa Boss

Gerard Houllier has turn out to be Aston Villa's new manager after send-off his post with the French Football Federation.

The previous Liverpool manager is back in the Premier League after six years at Anfield.

He told Villa's bureaucrat website, "I am very happy and arrogant to join this huge and historic club.

"It was a very difficult choice for me to leave the FFF but I could not turn down the occasion to manage a club whose move toward, both on and off the pitch, I have long well-liked.
