Kraft not happy as No.2
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Thomas Kraft has said he will not stay at the club if they opt to sign Germany number one Manuel Neuer.
Kraft made a string of good saves to deny Inter on Wednesday as Bayern gained revenge for their UEFA Champions League final defeat last season with a 1-0 win in the last 16 at the San Siro.
But he has come clean in stating that he would not be happy playing second fiddle to Neuer should he arrive at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern president and German legend Frank Beckenbauer, as well as international team-mate Phillip Lahm, have admitted that the temptation to bring in Neuer could be too good to miss.
"Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper in the world for me. If he is available, you have to get him," said Beckenbauer on Sky television.
Lahm added: "Kraft is a huge talent, but Neuer is world class."
Neuer's contract comes to an end in the summer of next year, but his club Schalke may be forced to cash in now so as not to run the risk of losing their star shot-stopper on a free transfer.
Reports from the British press suggest that Neuer is a leading candidate to take over Edwin van der Sar's place once he retires at Manchester United at the end of the season.
